Rooted in history and revived for today, The Royal brings a classic British institution back to life in the heart of Sutton Coldfield. Once known as The Townhouse, we’ve returned to our original name – and spirit – as a nod to the rich past of this much-loved venue.
With a warm, lived-in charm, timeless interiors, and a characterful menu to match, The Royal is your new local for every occasion. Whether it’s laid-back lunches, live music nights, or a High Flyers darts session with friends, this is a space to gather, graze, and make great memories – all in proper pub fashion.
We’re proud to be dog-friendly in the pub area, welcoming well-behaved four-legged friends. And please note, to keep the atmosphere just right, we are over 21s only after 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
